Your data in PaceBridge

Updated October 13, 2026 · MRU student project for ENTR 3360. Project partner: Myrimaven Publishing (Joan Tu).

Explore as a guest

You do not need an account to explore. Your answers, saved careers, questions, next steps and summary choices stay in this browser’s local storage. They are not synced to a server or another device.

Anyone using this browser may see that saved path. On a shared device, keep a summary and clear this site’s data when you finish. Signing out does not clear your saved path.

Removing a question from My path hides its saved copy in this browser and from your summary choices. It does not cancel the submitted request. Use Undo before leaving the page to restore it.

Email choices and delivery records

Optional welcomes and testing emails include a preferences link. Turning these off leaves receipts, replies and sign-in emails available when you request them.

For emails sent by PaceBridge support, the email log records the template, recipient, request reference, sending time and delivery identifier. It does not store another copy of the email body. Preferences keep your email address and optional-email choice so that choice can be respected.

Optional sign-in

Email sign-in uses your email address and a verification link or code. Google sign-in requests basic identity information: your Google account identifier, email and profile information. Supabase stores the account and provider profile, which can include your name and profile-photo URL. PaceBridge uses your account identifier to recognise your sign-in and protect updates to your own questions and chat requests. Your private account page shows your email address.

Google sign-in does not request access to your Gmail messages, Drive files, calendar or school records. Career answers are not sent to Google. Sign-in currently does not sync your saved path across devices. Phone sign-in is disabled.

Session cookies keep you signed in. Supabase and the hosting providers may keep technical security and delivery logs, including connection information such as IP addresses.

Your private profile and school roles

Your preferred name, bio, school, program and self-described purpose are optional. Supabase stores these with your account. They are not public, do not change career fit and do not grant a verified role.

If you upload a picture, PaceBridge resizes it and removes image metadata before saving it in private Supabase storage. Other members cannot read your profile picture. Authorized operators and service providers may access data needed to run the service.

A school name or school email does not prove enrolment, employment or permission to act for a school. Role requests record your chosen role and school. PaceBridge administrators review them and record decisions, dates and reasons. A verified role does not give someone access to your career answers, private notes or path.

Profile lets you download your PaceBridge profile details or the path saved in this browser. These are separate exports; the profile file is not a complete copy of submitted requests or your photo. Clearing a browser path does not delete your account, profile, server requests or usage records. Profile photos and bios are not automatically included in advisor summaries.

Questions and chat requests

When you submit a question, Supabase stores the career, question, email, publication choice and processing status. Chat requests store the chosen profile/career, email, optional note, suggested time windows and status. Requests made while signed in can also be linked to your account to protect status updates.

Your receipt and a notification are sent by email. PaceBridge reviews requests and answers or matches people by hand. Your email is used for these replies and arrangements. Other students cannot read your request or email.

Publication permission starts off. If you agree, PaceBridge may add an anonymised question and answer to the public career FAQs after reviewing it and removing identifying details. Email addresses are not included in FAQs. Keep names and private details out of the text you submit.

Anonymous usage

Usage records store a random browser reference, a time, an action name, and fixed choices or counts. These include known career/profile IDs, answer counts and before/after choices for a what-if.

Events exclude names, emails, account IDs, typed questions, private notes and full answer profiles. Records from the same browser can be linked by its reference. This is not a guarantee of being unidentifiable; providers may keep technical logs.

PaceBridge uses these records to understand how students use the app. Event delivery is best effort. On About, find your browser reference before asking to delete these records.

Sharing and service providers

You choose what to include in an advisor summary before printing it or opening an email draft. Notes and requests start off. PaceBridge does not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Vercel hosts the app, Supabase handles accounts and request storage, Resend handles email delivery, and Google handles Google sign-in. These services process the data needed for their roles. Your Google identity information is used only for sign-in and the account features described here.

Ask for help or deletion

Email PaceBridge support to ask about your data or request deletion of an account or submitted request. Include the request reference if you have it. These requests are handled manually. You can clear browser-only data in your browser’s site-data settings.

Career exploration is education only, not counselling. Entries labelled as samples need verified facts or consent before real student testing.
